The Foundation for Public Broadcasting in Mississippi (FPB) embraces the vision of Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) as a champion of all things Mississippi. The Foundation is a tax exempt, 501(c)(3) organization. Donations made to MPB through the Foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Our support for MPB goes to the heart of what can be done for you and your community through the services offered by MPB. Whether it's learning how to protect the health of your family, producing a healthy garden, or promoting reading skills in children preparing for kindergarten, the Foundation works to give you access to the information that educates, entertains and enlightens each of us.

We agree with you that MPB is a wonderful resource. We work with MPB to bring you special programming throughout the year to encourage viewers to become members of MPB, investing in the reliable, quality programming that you have come to expect from your local public television and radio station. We also work with individuals who wish to make long-term investments in public broadcasting through planned giving and living wills.

Additionally, the Foundation works with Mississippi companies and organizations to bring you specials that are truly unique to the state's culture and place in our country's history. Most recently this unique partnership brought you the eight-part concert documentary series Blues Divas, which was produced with the financial support of Entergy. Blues Divas has been seen by audiences across the country on PBS stations, as well as part of the Starz national cable programming lineup.

In all that we do, the Foundation supports the quality services of Mississippi Public Broadcasting that raise the quality of life in ourselves, our family, our community and our state.
