Questions about Radio Programming

1. Where do I find schedules for music radio, think radio, and other programs on the MPB radio lineup?

MPB's music radio, think radio and other programs can all be found on our MPBOnline website.

If you have questions about programming on MPB Music Radio and MPB Think Radio, please contact Jason Klein at (601) 432-6364 or via email.

2. What is the Radio Reading Service?

The Radio Reading Service of Mississippi (RRSM) features on-the-air readings of newspapers, books and magazines for persons who are unable to read the printed word, either because of visual handicaps or because of other physical handicaps, such as the inability to turn pages.

Listeners need a special "fixed crystal" receiver to hear the RRSM broadcasts. This receiver is a small table-model radio that is permanently tuned to the RRSM channel. It costs nothing to listen to RRSM, and the Mississippi Legislature has appropriated money to purchase these receivers and donate them to those in need at no cost to them. Application forms for the receivers are available from the RRSM studio.

3. Where can I find a radio station close to my town?

Mississippi Public Broadcasting operates radion stations in Biloxi (WMAH 90.3), Booneville (WMAE 89.5), Bude (WMAU 90.9), Jackson (WMPN 91.3), Meridian (WMAW 88.1), MS State (WMAB 89.9), Oxford (WMAV 90.3), and Greenwood (WMAO 90.9).
